Hi! I am Carol Reyes.
I am the Director of Global Programs at Miami Dade College, the largest and most diverse institution in the U.S. with over 165,000 students. In this role, I design innovative global programs and implement internationalization strategies across our 8 campuses in partnership with foreign governments, non-profits and the private sector. In addition, I write and manage international grants, such as President Obama's 100K Strong in the Americas Grant and the French Government's Transatlantic Friendship and Mobility Grant. I also recently created the country's first study abroad program for homeless and foster students (winner of the 2017 Diversity Abroad Innovation Award) and collaborated with the McKinsey Social Initiative to explore education-to-workforce projects. In August 2018, I traveled to New Zealand at the invitation of the Ministry of Education to build new binational partnerships and explore internationalization strategies to strengthen workforce outcomes.

I am a recipient of the Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion in International Education Award (2016) and was recently named a PIEoneer Award Finalist in the "Championing Diversity" category. I am a NAFSA Diversity Impact Fellow (2018), a two-time Fulbright Scholar to Germany (2018) and Taiwan (2009), a Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Top 3 Difference Maker (2018), a Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) Fellow and a Forté Foundation Fellow.
